Born and Bred in Newcastle, Mike Milligan got to fulfil every Geordie boy's dream when he got to play the part of north-east cult hero Sid The Sexist, providing the voice in Viz comic's highly successful video and then performing the iconic sketch live in concert at his spiritual home of Newcastle City Hall. And that's not the only time Mike Milligan has worked with his heroes. As a regular on the sporting dinner’s circuit, Mike has worked with such footballing legends as Micky Quinn, Bruce Grobbelaar, Norman Whiteside, Duncan McKenzie and Dave Watson. He also refereed a celebrity charity match between world snooker champions John Higgins and Graeme Dott.

A popular and well-known face on the national and international comedy circuit, including comparing at the legendary Comedy Store and Comedy Clubs, top stand-up Mike Milligan is the resident host at Newcastle’s famous Hyena Comedy Cafe. A teacher in a previous existence, Mike Milligan knows all about dealing with fractious audiences and keeping them amused, having honed his unique interactive skills in the classrooms of the north-east.

A man of many talents, all of them funny, comedian Mike Milligan has written and performed for numerous television and radio shows, including further local Geordie legends in Spender, Byker Grove and several Catherine Cookson dramas. Mike Milligan has also worked on Granada's acclaimed Justice for Gemma production and regularly works on the Ross King Show for the BBC, Radio 4's Afternoon Shift and Weekending, The Patrick Kielty Show, Danni's Dares on Channel Four and Running Jokes for Yorkshire TV.
