Jimmy White MBE, the People’s Champion, is a snooker player and sports speaker known for making it to the final of six World Championships and losing all of them; however, his impressive successes at both amateur and senior levels as well as the UK Championships and the Masters have helped to make him one of the most popular players in the sport.

Also a former doubles World Champion, where he won alongside partner and fellow snooker speaker Alex Higgins which they won twice, Jimmy continues to participate in the sport as well as working as a corporate snooker speaker appearing at high profile events for both fans and private clients.

Beginning his career in the early 1980’s White quickly established himself as a talented player, his forays with world famous player and fellow sports speaker Steve Davis – to whom he lost the World Championship but later defeated at the Northern Ireland Classic – helped catapult Jimmy White MBE to fame. He won his only Master’s tournament in 1984 and his first World Singles and Doubles Championships soon after; since then White has maintained a successful and popular career for more than thirty years.

White now divides his time between playing snooker and appearing at after dinner speaker functions, he is often called upon to appear as a snooker speaker at high profile corporate events as well as appearing on a number of related television broadcasts.
